I have been playing with The Members on and Off for 33 years, We are the Original Sound of the Suburbs, There is a Lot of Energy in the Members Shows. The Current Line up Comprises of myself, Chris Payne and Nick Cash. This year we Have played all over Europe Glastonbury and Isle of Wight Festivals, Recorded a Live album in Berlin and are working on a studio album. Here are some photos from the Paris Show. The JC Carroll Acoustic Trio was Born in a Cellar Bar in Camden that is a monument to the founding father of British Folk Guitar Davey Graham, it has more then a passing relationship with the Great Man, Bass player Tony Reeves accompanied Davey on his most Famous albums "Folk Roots and Beyond" and "Midnight Man", whilst Guitarist Joe Woolley was his last pupil and protégé. Add to this mix singer songwriter and unreconstructed punk Rocker JC Carroll you get a new take on "Folk Blues and Beyond." From gentle Astral weeks style "Caveman TV" songs to Arabic/Jazz crossover "Golborne Road there is a fluidity to this Trio that encompasses so many genres and yet defies pigeonholes. Here you will find English Folk Songs, Appallacian Murder Ballads. British Blues , Arabic Jazz and JC's stories of live love divorce and death in the suburbs all wrapped in a deft accompaniment of String Bass, Guitar, mandolin accordion and Uke. Such is the Confidence of this outfit they released a CD of thier first Gig.
